Macon police arrested Doug Boyd, 17, and charged him with underage possession of a handgun after a man was shot at a Macon home, according to a police report.
In Georgia, a person has to be 21 to possess a handgun.
Officers were called to a house on Moreland Avenue just before midnight Thursday in reference to a shooting.
Police found a resident at the house, Quintarris Coleman, 17, had been shot. Coleman was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Police searched the residence and found a handgun hidden behind a shed with one spent round.
No one has been charged with the aggravated assault. Boyd was released Friday after posting bond.
