Two men robbed at Eisenhower Crossing

Macon police are looking into two armed robberies Tuesday evening in the parking lots of Best Buy and Kroger at Presidential Parkway.

Police haven’t said if the two robberies are related, but both involved a maroon- or burgundy-colored Toyota.

In the first robbery, the victim was placing items he purchased from Best Buy in the back of his truck when two men approached him about 9 p.m. One of the men produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim, demanding the items. The gunmen took the victim’s wallet, cell phone and a PlayStation 3 console, then fled the scene.

During the second robbery, the second victim left work at Golden Corral about 10:30 p.m. and was walking through the Kroger parking lot. He was approached by two men in the Toyota. One of the men demanded the victim give him “everything you’ve got” — the same thing the gunman said in the first incident.

The second victim told him he didn’t have anything, but the passenger got out of the car, pulled out a gun, and took the victim’s cell phone and money. The suspects then fled the scene.

Officers found a .380-caliber round in the parking lot, which has been sent to the crime lab.
