Macon man shot during argument about loud music

A 47-year-old Macon man was shot just before 11 p.m. Monday during an argument, according to Macon police.

Lorenzo B. Smith, of Houston Avenue, was shot in front of an apartment at 520 Poppy Ave., during an argument about a woman playing loud music. He sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg, according to a police report.

Robert Lee Jones, 48, of 520 Poppy Ave., is charged with aggravated assault and is being held on $8,450 bond at the Bibb County jail, according to jail records.
