Macon man bitten by dog, police say

A Macon man received medical treatment Monday night after being bitten twice by a pit bull in the 2200 block of Second Street, according to Macon police.

The man told police the dog ran out of a yard and bit him in the upper right leg and in the left leg while he was walking down the street, according to a police report.

The dog’s owner told an officer the dog attacked because the man was in his yard. The owner said he grabbed the dog and returned the animal to the yard after the attack, according to the report.

The officer noted in a report that animal control would be notified about the case.
