Gray Highway businesses targeted in robberies; suspect sought

Macon police have identified Xavier Tremaine Hill as the suspect in two Monday morning armed robberies on Gray Highway.

Police said they have warrants for his arrest. He is known to frequent the Fort Hill area, according to a police news release.

Police said a man thought to be Hill, armed with a gun, robbed CVS, 1271 Gray Highway, at 3:15 a.m. Monday.

The man threatened the clerk with the gun and demanded money from the register. He grabbed money from the register and ran from the store, the release said. A man with a similar description robbed Flash Foods, 997 Gray Highway, at 7:20 a.m. and demanded money from a clerk at gunpoint, according to a news release. Police said late Monday they suspect Hill in that crime as well. No one was injured in either incident.
