Macon police arrested a 24-year-old Macon man Thursday, less than seven minutes after he allegedly robbed the GNC store on Presidential Parkway.
An officer spotted Brandon Hamlin on Bishop Road and apprehended him after a short foot chase, according to a police news release. An employee told police that a man armed with a knife demanded money from the register just before 11 a.m.
When officers apprehended Hamlin, he was wearing clothing such as the employee described seeing during the robbery. Hamlin also had a knife, a toboggan hat with eye holes cut into the fabric and an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the release.
