Man shot in head in Warner Robins

Warner Robins police are investigating a late Thursday afternoon shooting in the 200 block of Sewell Circle.

A man in his 20s was found by residents lying on his side in a yard with a gunshot wound to the head, said Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for Warner Robins police.

Police were dispatched at 4:22 p.m. to a 911 call about a shooting, Pugh said.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he was listed in critical condition late Thursday, Pugh said.

Police were canvassing the neighborhood Thursday evening, she said.
