Macon store workers cited for selling alcohol to minors, police say

Six Macon convenience store workers were cited for selling alcohol to a person under 21 last week, according to police reports released Wednesday.

On at least two occasions, store workers sold alcohol to an underage person working with police after requesting the buyer’s ID and seeing the underage ID, according to the reports.

Citations were issued for Hetal G. Patel, 26, an employee at Neighborhood Grocery, 3102 Napier Ave.; Kamalesh Desai, 53, an employee at Express Foods, 2900 Riverside Drive; James Hubbard, 48, an employee at Circle K, 4451 Forsyth Road; Juliet Passaporte Ocampo, 55, an employee at Kwik Trip, 1924 Hardeman Ave.; Kiritkumar Gandabhai Patel, 41, an employee at Express Foods, 2893 Napier Ave.; and Bhupondra Prajapati, 35, an employee at Tom’s Food Mart, 811 Pio Nono Ave., according to police reports.
