Police: Child threatened in Perry home invasion

One person has been arrested in connection to Perry home invasion Monday night, police said.

Joshua Omar Williams, 18, of Perry, was charged with burglary, armed robbery and aggravated assault, said Perry police Capt. Heath Dykes.

Police are attempting to identify the two other men involved in the home invasion in the 100 block of Spring Creek Court, Dykes said.

And 11-year-old and 2-year-old were the only ones at the home when two men busted through the back door and ransacked the home, Dykes said.

A third man was believed to be a lookout outside the home.

The 11-year-old was threatened with a handgun but was not harmed, Dykes said. An XBox, an XBox 360, a PlaysStation3, a PlayStation2 and several video games were stolen.

A security alarm in the home went off around 7 p.m., alerting both the homeowner and police.

Anyone with information should contact Perry police Lt. Ken Ezell at (478) 988-2826.
