Puppy injured by apparent BB gun shot

A pit bull-chow mix puppy was injured by an apparent BB gun shot just before 1:40 a.m. Friday, according to the Macon police.

The dog’s owner, who lives in the 4100 block of Wrenwood Avenue, told officers she let the puppy outside to use the bathroom. When the dog returned, she noticed its ear was bleeding, according to a police report.

The owner said there was a hole in the dog’s ear that appeared to be caused by a BB gun or another type of weapon, according to the police.

The woman didn’t hear a gunshot and didn’t have any suspect information.
