Macon man robbed at post office

A 49-year-old Macon man was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night at the U.S. Post Office on Pio Nono Avenue, according to Macon police.

The man told police another man asked him for a cigarette at about 10:10 p.m.

Later, while walking to his car, the man felt “some iron in his back” that he assumed was a handgun, according to a police report.
