Man hurt in drive-by shooting in Macon

A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Sunday night near the intersection of Reynolds and Storey drives just outside of Village Green in Macon.

About 9:20 p.m., 17-year-old Martinez Collins was injured by shattered glass and powder burns as he was sitting in his vehicle, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

Police responded to a call of shots fired but did not find a victim at the intersection a couple of blocks off Bloomfield Road. But Collins showed up at The Medical Center of Central Georgia a short time later, the release stated.

Collins said a green vehicle pulled up next to him and shot at him before speeding off in an unknown direction.
