Man allegedly brandished knife at Log Cabin day care

Macon police charged a man with terroristic threats Wednesday after he allegedly threw chairs and brandished a knife inside a Log Cabin day-care center.

Fabian Marlethia Scott, 23, of Hillcrest Avenue, is being held at the Bibb County jail on a $6,220 bond, according to jail records.

When officers arrived at Mrs. Jackson’s Day Care just after 4 p.m., they found Scott standing inside the day care, shirtless and holding a large knife.

A man at the day care was able to get Scott to put down the knife, but Scott ran out the door, according to a police report.

Police later arrested Scott behind the Fastee Foods at the corner of Pike Street, according to the report.

Ira Jackson, the owner of the day care, said the children were outside on the playground when the incident happened.

No one was injured.
