Robbers hit east Macon beauty supply store

Two young men robbed an east Macon beauty supply store Saturday night, according to police.

Macon Police Lt. Eric Walker said the robbery happened about 7:12 p.m. at Key Beauty Supply, 1954 Millerfield Road.

Two black males, both apparently teenagers, entered the store dressed in black with bandannas covering their faces. One brandished a handgun and struck a store clerk, knocking her to the ground.

The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and fled the building. The clerk did not need medical attention, Walker said.
