Robbers hit Macon CVS store twice in 24 hours

Macon police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the CVS at 1390 Pio Nono Ave.

It was the second robbery at the store in less than 24 hours.

Police said the robber entered the store and waited until other customers finished their transactions. He then pulled a knife and demanded money.

He fled on foot toward a wooded area. No injuries were reported.

The same CVS was robbed Tuesday night at about 6:30 p.m. That robber entered the store with a bag and told the clerk there was a gun inside. He fled the scene after taking cash.

Police are trying to determine if the two robberies are related.
