Man robs CVS on Pio Nono

The CVS Pharmacy at 1390 Pio Nono Ave. was robbed about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

According to a Macon police news release, a man came in with a bag on his hand and told the clerk he had a gun. He then grabbed some cash from the register and walked out of the store. He was headed west toward Montpelier Avenue, the release stated.

No one was hurt in the incident, the release stated.

The suspect was described as a black male in his mid 30s, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 155 pounds, with a thin beard and mustache, the release said.

He was last seen wearing a black leather coat, dark blue jeans, white shirt, white tennis shoes and a black hat. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Macon Police Department at (478) 751-7500, or CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
