Macon police arrested a man and a woman Monday night after an officer observed a man buying drugs near a house on Napier Avenue. Police issued a citation to the man who allegedly bought the drugs, according to a police report.
According to the report, the officer observed a man on a bicycle, later identified as Phillip Neal Fowler, 43, of Villa Avenue, who pedaled to a window at 3996 Napier Ave. about 11 p.m. The report stated that Fowler passed money to a man and a woman inside the window, who then handed him two small pink baggies, which contained marijuana. The officer stopped Fowler as he started to leave and detained him. Officers then knocked at the door of the residence and were let into the room by Nikki Duhart, 22, who lived at the address with Wendell Ford Jr., 19.
Officers asked if there were drugs on the premises and were told they could search the residence. One of the officers found a stolen .22-caliber revolver along with several bags of marijuana, the report stated.
Duhart and Ford were arrested and charged with distribution of marijuana, theft by receiving a firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Duhart and Ford were taken to jail
