Macon man robbed after taking out trash

A Macon man was forced into his home at gunpoint and robbed early Wednesday morning in the 900 block of Sunnydale Drive, according to Macon police.

The 50-year-old resident told police he was taking out the trash about 1:20 a.m. and two men with guns came out from some bushes, according to a police report.

The men ordered him to the ground and later told him to go inside his house. While inside, the men forced the man to lie face down in front of a couch as they robbed him at gunpoint.

After taking money, the men ran outside and got into a passing green Honda Civic.

A woman told police she saw the men through a window as they left, according to the report.
