Bibb authorities seek help in bike thefts

Bibb County deputies are asking for the public’s help in solving two recent burglaries at Capitol Cycle, 4950 Mercer University Drive.

Individuals broke into the store about 2:45 a.m. Oct. 9 and stole two motorcycles. They broke in again at 1:58 a.m. Oct. 10 and took four motorcycles, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The following motorcycles were taken: a 2009 blue Yamaha TTR 110 EY with VIN number JYACE25Y89A010951; a 2008 orange KTM 50 SX JR with VIN number VBKMRA2388M040172; a 2007 blue Yamaha TTR 50 with VIN number LBPCA01Y770023899; a 2009 green Kawasaki, model KX65 8, with VIN number JKBKXEAC398065609; a 2008 Honda CDF 70 with VIN number JH2AE02099K101732; and a 2006 green Kawasaki, model KX65, with a NDVIN modified frame. No VIN number was provided for the 2006 motorcycle.
