Houston dealing with break-ins

About a dozen auto break-ins occurred late Sunday and early Monday in a cluster of Houston County subdivisions along Peach Blossom Trail in Houston County.

Items including iPods, GPS systems and checkbooks were stolen from inside the vehicles, Houston County sheriff’s Capt. Robert Clark said.

“The vast majority of them were unlocked,” Clark said of the vehicles that were broken into.

One victim reported having seen a light-colored sport utility vehicle, possibly a Nissan Pathfinder, in the area during the break-ins, Clark said.

Peachtree Estates, Sunset Terrace, Pilgrims Rest and Kentshire Run were among the subdivisions where the break-ins occurred, Clark said.

The subdivisions are along Peach Blossom Trail between Ga. 96 and Feagin Mill Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact sheriff’s Cpl. Glenn Goodman at 542-2085 during business hours. Calls may be directed to 542-2080 during the evening.
