Man in wheelchair robbed in Macon

A man in a wheelchair was robbed Monday night after a man entered his home and threatened to shoot him, according to the Macon police.

The man told police that a man knocked on the door to his apartment in the 2000 block of Old Clinton Road at about 7 p.m. and asked for a cigarette and a light, according to a police report.

He said he keeps his door unlocked in case he needs help.

About 10 minutes later, the man opened the door and walked into the apartment demanding money while keeping his hand in his jacket pocket as if he had a gun, according to the report.

The robber took a wallet and a phone before leaving, according to the report.
