Macon man robbed after cashing checks

Macon police are investigating a robbery in which a man was robbed after cashing two checks Friday afternoon, a report stated.

The report stated the victim had cashed two checks about 5 p.m. Friday and was walking along Jeffersonville Road when he was stopped by an unknown man driving a white sport utility vehicle. The man told the victim to get into the car. The victim told police he was unsure if the man had a gun but complied.

The man then took a bag the man had around his waist, which contained about $600, the report said. The man told the victim to get out of the car and drove off.
