Shot fired at motorist on Gray Highway

A gunshot was fired at a car Thursday after a motorist refused to allow another car to cut in front of her, according to Macon police.

A 21-year-old Macon woman told police she was making a left turn from Nottingham Drive onto Gray Highway just before 5 p.m. when she refused to allow a green Toyota Corolla to cut in front of her, according to a police report.

As the woman approached the Flash Foods on Gray Highway, the Toyota drove up beside her on the passenger side and the driver displayed a handgun. After saying words the woman couldn’t understand, the driver fired the gun at her car, according to the report.

The woman told officers she slowed down and let the Toyota pass her. She then pulled into the Rose’s parking lot and discovered a bullet hole in the rear passenger door, according to the report.
