Macon man in stable condition after shooting

A 30-year-old Macon man was shot in the chest early Saturday morning in the 900 block of Plant Street, according to Macon police.Kenyatta Moss, of Plant Street, is listed in stable condition at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, police Sgt. Zac Self said.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots on Plant Street just after 2 a.m. and spotted a man wearing all black who ran when he saw the officers. The officers chased the man, but he got away, according to a police report.

Officers later heard Moss was being treated at the emergency room. When questioned about the shooting, Moss refused to give any information, according to the report.
