Man arrested for making threats at Macon club

Macon police arrested a man for threatening to fire his gun at people inside the Whiskey River nightclub on Pio Nono Avenue, a police report said.

Police arrested Jeremey T. Hughes, 22, of Hall Wood Circle in Macon, and charged him with making terroristic threats after he was escorted out of the club by security personnel Sept. 4 just after midnight.

The accused had gotten into a fight inside the club, the report said. After being taken out, he told a security agent that he was “going to get his gun and come back to shoot” the security agent and the club. Hughes tried to leave but was detained by off-duty police officers who were working security.
