Tools and wiring valued at $60,000 was taken from Peach State Chemical after someone broke in through a side door, according to a Macon police report.
The owner of the business told police the building where the burglary occurred has been vacant since December and he was last there July 20. The burglary was discovered Tuesday, according to the report.
The owner said the inside of the building, located on Hillcrest Industrial Boulevard, was damaged by a burglar’s attempts to remove electrical wire from the walls and main breaker boxes. Tools also were taken, according to the report.
