Macon man sentenced for robbery

A 32-year-old Macon man has been sentenced to serve 12 years in prison and eight years on probation in connection with a May 20, 2008, armed robbery at the Raceway on Mercer University Drive, according to the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutor John Regan said Michael Antonio Gaston pleaded guilty to armed robbery Monday.Chasity James, 19, also of Macon, pleaded guilty to robbery by force in connection with the same incident, he said.

James was sentenced to serve 10 years on probation and 800 days in a detention center, Regan said.
