Macon man shot, robbed

A 23-year-old Macon man was shot and robbed Thursday at 4108 Brookdale Ave., according to Macon police.

Jonathan Bacon, of 1329 Dukeswell Court, said he was standing under a tree around 9:30 p.m. when four or five black males in dark clothes with shirts tied around their faces approached him and demanded money, according to a Macon police report.

Bacon said he handed over his wallet, which contained $200 cash, and the men then told him to lay down on the ground.

After one of the men mentioned killing him, Bacon jumped up and started running.

As he was running away, one of the men shot him in his right leg.

After notifying authorities, Bacon was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment.
