Macon man robbed downtown

A 41-year-old Macon man was attacked and robbed while walking downtown at about 12:20 a.m. Thursday, according to Macon police.

Larry Wayne Glover, of 3650 Ruark Road, said he was walking at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cherry Street when three males jumped on him and threw him to the ground, according to a Macon police report. As the men were kicking and hitting Glover, they took $105 out of his wallet and ran away, the report states.

A witness told police she was driving down MLK toward Walnut Street at the time of the incident and saw the men attacking Glover through her rearview mirror. Following the incident, Glover walked to the Marathon gas station at 227 Walnut St. to call for help.
