Bibb indicts two for burglary, another for stabbing

Steven Anthony Austin, 19, of Claburn Road, was indicted Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court on 11 counts of burglary and Andre J. Brown, 34, of Ponce de Leon Avenue, on one count of burglary, according to court records.

Austin is accused of breaking into residences on Ellenwood Circle, Lee Road, Oak Ridge Avenue, Glencove Drive, Windsor Road, Knollwood Drive, Sugarloaf Drive, Pierce Avenue, Riverdale Drive, Buford Place and Corbin Avenue between January and April 2009, according to the indictment. Brown also is accused of participating in the Corbin Avenue burglary. according to the indictment.

Austin is being held at the Bibb County jail on $111,200 bond and Austin is being held on $16,600 bond, according to jail records.

Also indicted Tuesday was Branican Shaquille Mains, 19, of Houston Avenue, on a count of aggravated assault, according to Bibb County Superior court records.

Mains is accused of stabbing Alex Harris, 26, with a knife March 24 following an argument, according to the indictment.

He is being held at the Bibb County jail on $11,200 bond, according to jail records.
