Macon police arrested a man Sunday evening and charged him with having a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, a report states.

The police also arrested a woman and charged her with disorderly conduct and hindering.

Jarvis Reeves, 28, of Leaf Circle in Macon, was arrested around 8 p.m. when police responded to a fight call at 1206 Maynard St. Police said they were told that one individual was carrying a gun.

As police officers patted down the individuals involved in the fight, one of them discovered 23 small black bags of marijuana, the report states.

Police also arrested Sharon Rouse, 35, of Fort Hill Street in Macon. When one of the police officers was looking for weapons, he heard a woman screaming and cursing in front of a group of young children. The officer advised her to go home, but Rouse kept yelling profanity, the report said.
