Macon woman charged with killing her grandmother

At 12:45 p.m. Friday, members of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a 47-year-old Macon woman for allegedly killing her 92-year-old grandmother by allowing her to descend into what medical personnel called a “deteriorated condition.”

Michelle Sheree Brooks Moore is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on the charge of felony murder, according to the LEC’s Web site.

On Sept. 3, 2008, an ambulance transported Moore’s grandmother, Clara Sipp, to Coliseum Hospital, according to a Macon police news release.

Medical personnel contacted Macon police and Adult Protective Services because of Sipp’s “deteriorated condition,” according to the release. An autopsy determined Sipp’s death resulted from “neglect and malnourishment.”

Moore lives in an apartment complex on Ridge Avenue.
