Macon man escapes carjacking attempt

A Macon man managed to escape a carjacking attempt about 2:30 a.m. Sunday by two unknown assailants, a police report said.

The man sustained a cut to his right hand and a stab wound to his left arm. He was driving home when he stopped at a red light at the corner of Third and Cherry streets.

Two men approached the car and attempted to gain entry. They pulled the victim out of the car and they fought in the street. The victim managed to drive off and met his wife at a nearby Waffle House. She insisted he go to the hospital.

The victim was unable to give police a description of the assailants.
