Macon resident holds burglary suspect until police arrive

A resident in the 2400 block of Montpelier Avenue who was at home during a Sunday burglary kept the alleged teenage suspect at the home until police arrived, according to the Macon police.

The 14-year-old Macon teenager, whose name has not been released, has been charged with burglary, according to a police news release.

The resident told police three boys kicked in his back door and he went outside to get help from neighbors. One of the neighbors helped him detain the 14-year-old while the two other juveniles were able to get away from the scene of the burglary, which occurred at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday, according to the release.
