Macon woman hospitalized after being stabbed

An 18-year-old woman was cut several times early Saturday in the 800 block of Armory Drive, according to the Macon police.

Porsche Tarpley of Macon had a large, deep cut to her abdomen and several other cuts on her arm and hand when officers arrived, according to a police report released Monday.

She told officers she was at home when another woman arrived and an argument ensued about 3:15 a.m. At one point, the other woman pulled out a large carving knife and tried to stab Tarpley, according to the report. Then the woman ran away.

Tarpley was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where she was treated for wounds that included a cut to her intestine and the tendons in her fingers, according to the report.
