AWOL soldier charged with Macon burglaries

A soldier absent without leave from the military in Fort Bragg, N.C., has been charged with six counts of burglary in Macon, according to the Macon police.

Aaron West Joiner, 21, of Gray, has been extradited to Macon and is being held at the Bibb County jail without bond, according to the police and jail records.

Joiner is accused in the following burglaries: March 30 at 1337 Lake Valley Road; April 3 at 567 Old Lundy Road; April 4 at 231 Alexandria Drive; April 4 at 4309 Old Club Road E; April 4 at 4106 Old Canyon Road; and April 4 at 630 Wimbish Road, according to the police.

He also is charged with one count of theft by taking auto, according to the police.

Joiner also faces charges in four burglaries, an auto theft and another theft case in Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigations, according to the sheriff’s office.
