Macon woman shot in confrontation in her yard

A 19-year-old Macon woman was in stable condition at The Medical Center of Central Georgia late Wednesday after being shot in her front yard on Thrasher Avenue, according to a Macon police news release.

Police said a large group of people, and a female who has not been identified by police, confronted Kendra Brundage in her front yard — one armed with a shotgun.

Brundage was hit on the left side of her body with pellets from the shotgun. She was shot by a male in the group after the unidentified woman threatened her and pointed the shotgun at her, accord to the news release.

The incident occurred at 2:22 p.m.

The group of people came to the victim’s house after an altercation between the unknown female and the victim’s brother that took place about 30 minutes earlier, according to police.
