Cab driver robbed in Macon

A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint just before 11 p.m. Saturday after driving to North Napier Apartments to pick up a passenger, according to Macon police.

A man, dressed in black and wearing a hood, threatened the driver with a shotgun and demanded money, according to the report.

The gunman took the driver’s purse and ran into the woods, according to the report.

The cab company received another call to pick up a customer at the same location just before midnight. Police advised the driver not to go, according to the report. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 751-7500 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
