Robins airman accused of child enticement in Massachusetts

CONCORD, Mass. — An Air Force member based in Georgia has been charged with child enticement after Massachusetts authorities say he flew to meet a 14-year-old girl and brought her to a hotel.

Airman Christopher Stevens was arrested Friday by Massachusetts State Police at a Concord hotel where he was with the girl.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s office says the 19-year-old man met the girl over the Internet and had arraigned to meet Thursday evening. Investigators say the two exchanged sexual messages through Facebook and text messages.

The girls’ parents contacted police after she went missing.

Stevens is stationed at Robins Air Force Base, where a base spokesman declined immediate comment.
