Morrow police say Hosley confronted his wife with a gun while she and their 2-month-old child were at Southlake Mall on Sunday.
Police say Hosley fired the shots outside the mall, but no one was struck.
Hosley then forced the victims into his car and drove away, but was soon stopped by police near the intersection of Lake Drive and Mt. Zion Road.
The victims were rescued unharmed.
Hosley faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, cruelty to children, possession of a weapon, and reckless conduct.
Hosley was taken to the Clayton County Jail.
