Macon home sprayed with bullets, no injuries

A 60-year-old woman was awakened to the sound of gunshots early Sunday morning at her home in the 1400 block of Third Street, according to the Macon police.

The woman told officers she heard gunshots hitting her house at 5:45 a.m. She rolled out of bed and stayed on the floor until the shots stopped, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Following the shooting, she heard a voice outside say “take that,” according to the report.

Three other people, including a 15-year-old girl, were inside the house.

Officers found 15 shell casings in the front yard of the house, according to the report.
