Macon woman accused of stabbing arrested

A 45-year-old Hardeman Avenue woman stabbed another woman on Mason Street on Monday night after stealing the woman’s hair products, according to the Macon police.

Carolyn Williams is charged with aggravated assault and obstructing an officer. She is being held on $1,200 bond, according to Bibb County jail records.

Latonya Wiggins, 24, of Mason Street, told police Williams stole various hair products from her.

Williams fumbled through a drawer and brought out a steak knife when Wiggins confronted Williams about the theft, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Williams stabbed Wiggins in the torso below her right breast, according to the report.

Wiggins, who told officers she was several months pregnant, was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia by ambulance, but was not listed as a patient Tuesday afternoon, said Sgt. Melanie Hofmann.

Williams admitted she stabbed Wiggins and officers heard her threaten to kill her, according to the report.

While in custody, Williams bit an officer on the right index finger and kicked another officer in the leg, according to the report.
