A Bibb County deputy discovered $50,000 worth of stolen electronics while checking on a vehicle blocking an intersection Monday morning at Walden Road and Industrial Highway.
Investigators arrested Gary Dellario Mallard, 39, of Macon, for 30 counts of felony theft by receiving, and one count each of false information, no proof of insurance and no driver’s license, a report said. The report said that Deputy Johnny Rowe discovered 27 flat-screen TVs and three home-theater systems on the truck and trailer. Mallard gave Rowe false information and different stories about how he obtained the merchandise, the report said.
The items were stolen during a burglary at NYK Logistics on Avondale Mill Road late Sunday or early Monday.
Mallard is in the Bibb County jail.
