Macon teen grazed by bullet while walking

A 14-year-old was grazed by a bullet Sunday while walking with a friend near Robinson Road and Napier Avenue, according to the police.

The teenager, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, was shot in the arm about 11:45 a.m. as he was headed to the Family Dollar discount store, 3407 Napier Ave.

He was transported to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Macon police officer Gerald Newman said authorities have not determined the origin of the gunfire and they have no suspects in the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
