A man was struck several times across the head with a pistol early Monday morning in the 1000 block of Chestney Street, according to the Macon police.
A 68-year-old man told police he heard a knock at the screen door at about 1:30 a.m., according to a police report released Monday. A man at the door asked questions about a murder that occurred Sunday.
Within a few minutes, the man pulled out a silver handgun and ordered the 68-year-old man to give him everything he had, according to the report. The gunman struck the man in the head with the pistol, but did not take anything, according to the police.
The victim was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment, according to the report.
