A 28-year-old Lee Drive man was shot in the thigh early Saturday morning at a home at 327 Penn Ave., according to the Macon police.
Gregory Johnson told police he was with a woman at a family cookout on Lexington Avenue when she bought a handgun from an unidentified man and a dispute occurred. The unidentified man took the gun from the woman and fired several shots into the air, according to a police report released Monday.
Johnson and the woman then went to 327 Penn Ave. where they ran into the unidentified man again and discussed returning the gun. The unidentified man pointed the gun at Johnson, put the gun back into his pocket and then shot Johnson, according to the report. The bullet entered through Johnson’s left thigh, exited and the lodged in his right thigh, according to the police.
Johnson was released from the hospital during the weekend, according to the police.
