Burglars hit Windsor Academy

A burglar removed the exhaust vent from the roof of Windsor Academy’s field house and climbed inside, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The burglary at the school, 4150 Jones Road, occurred sometime between 9 p.m. April 14 and 8 a.m. April 15, according to an incident report released Monday.

An employee said he noticed the field house door was unlocked when he arrived at work and later noticed other buildings were broken into, according to the report.

A drink machine was damaged inside the field house and a broken TV was stolen, according to the sheriff’s office.

The burglar removed screws from the exhaust fan and broke the louvers at the football concession stand. An unknown amount of drinks were taken. A plywood window was broken with a concrete block at the baseball concession stand. Candy, valued at $100, was taken, according to the report.
