Man robbed, beaten on Napier Avenue in Macon

A man was robbed and beaten by a wooden “stick-like” object after obtaining a money order at Fastee Foods, 2893 Napier Ave., at about 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Macon police.

The man told police he walked across the street from the store and was approached by a man dressed in black who demanded money, according to a police report released Monday.

The robber then struck the man in the chest with the wooden object and took his money and cell phone, according to the report.

The man was being treated at The Medical Center of Central Georgia when he was interviewed by police, according to the report.
