One person was taken to the hospital but two others walked away from a collision that sent their sport utility vehicle on its side on Emery Highway at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Macon police Sgt. Richard Wolverton said the driver of a green Ford Taurus was traveling on Maynard Street to turn left on Emery when a white Ford Escape headed west on Emery into the intersection at the same time.
Both drivers claimed to have the green light, Wolverton said.
Casie Reid, 26, of Macon was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia to be treated for her injuries, which were not expected to be serious, Wolverton said.
The Escape driver, Chakire Johnson, 31, of Stone Mountain and her passenger were only slightly injured and did not seek treatment on the scene.
Westbound Emery Highway was blocked for more than 30 minutes before the SUV and Taurus could be towed away.
