Milledgeville restaurant owner robbed at gunpoint

The owner of the Great Wall restaurant in Milledgeville was robbed at gunpoint Monday night in the parking lot on North Columbia Street.

Milledgeville police Capt. Dray Swicord said Jinru Yang, 39, of Florida, was forced to hand over her Louis Vuitton purse with several hundred dollars in cash about 8 p.m.

Yang had gone in to check on the business that is operated by her son when two gunmen dressed in black with their faces covered put a gun to her head in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly shopping center, Swicord said.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Milledgeville police tipline at (478) 414-4413. Rewards will be given for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
